About The Position
Sentara Pace Norfolk is seeking to hire a Clinical RN. The Physician Practice and Clinic Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic setting. Reporting to practice or nursing leadership, this role assesses patients, assists with procedures and examinations, administers medications and immunizations, and provides patient education and care coordination. The nurse manages triage, follow-up, and communication with patients between visits and coordinates with physicians and office staff. This role matters because skilled outpatient nursing supports chronic disease management, prevention, and continuity of care. The nurse handles clinical documentation in the electronic health record, supports population health outreach, and helps the practice run safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Licensed RN active in VA (required)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- EPIC experience is strongly preferred
- Experience in the role is strongly preferred
- One to two years of ambulatory, clinic, or medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred
