This is a Full-Time Position. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for recording patient's current status, past medical history, vaccine status, vital statistics, and medication reconciliation in preparation for provider visit in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The role involves collecting, labeling, and transporting specimens, preparing for procedures, and demonstrating knowledge of emergencies and routine equipment. The nurse will collaborate with patient care planning, including patient education, and assist providers with special tests and procedures. Responsibilities include starting IVs, monitoring IV fluids, assessing patients for safety and medication appropriateness, and administering medications accurately. The role also requires identifying victims of abuse and reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, utilizing proper phone etiquette, and caring for instruments. Participation in mandatory in-services, staff meetings, and adherence to MRH policies and procedures are expected. The nurse will demonstrate knowledge of emergency preparedness, act as a resource and supportive team member, and participate in process improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role involves acting as a liaison between patients, families, providers, and staff, completing assigned workload, and floating to other clinical departments as needed.
