About The Position

The Clinic Radiology Tech performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for procedures as required.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA approved school.
• Meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT.
• Demonstrates support for organizational and departmental mission.
• Supports and demonstrates knowledge of the Strategic Plan and the Hospital Key Initiatives.
• Fosters and promotes teamwork within department and the organization as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, providing protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
• Operates equipment as directed, with prescribed safety standards.
• Maintains adequate records as directed.
• Monitors equipment maintenance.
• Prepares exam rooms and takes patient histories and vital sign.
• Other duties as assigned.
