This is a part-time position in the WI ACL Laboratories - AMG Walworth Elkhorn Comm department, requiring 20 hours per week. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 8 AM to noon, with every third Saturday from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. Alternate hours may be needed due to departmental needs, and coverage at the Lake Geneva clinic may also be required. The role involves verifying patient identification, assessing patient reactions to specimen procurement, performing venipuncture and collecting other specimens from patients of all age groups, and performing limited testing under CLIA guidelines. Responsibilities also include answering phones, assisting with inventory, processing specimens for transport and testing, ordering and verifying test requests, documenting information for quality assurance, running quality control checks, notifying providers of critical results, performing laboratory result entry, and instructing employees and students in phlebotomy and related functions. The incumbent must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served.
