This full-time position is located in the WI ACL Laboratories at Mayfair South. The Clinic Phlebotomist is responsible for verifying patient identification, assessing patient reactions to specimen procurement, and performing venipuncture and collecting other specimens from patients of all age groups. The role also involves performing limited testing, answering phones, assisting with inventory and supplies, supporting billing functions, processing specimens for testing, ordering and verifying test requests, documenting information for quality assurance, running quality control checks, notifying providers of critical results, performing laboratory result entry, and conducting proficiency testing. Additionally, the phlebotomist may be responsible for generating and distributing reports and instructing employees and students in phlebotomy and related functions. A key aspect of the role is demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
