About The Position

This full-time position at Park Clinic - Family Care in Duncan, OK, involves greeting and directing patients and visitors, registering new patients, scheduling appointments, receiving payments, and serving as a liaison between patients and medical staff. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English.
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information tools.
  • Ability to remain flexible to quickly adapt to urgent situations.
  • Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position.
  • Ability to apply the skills of self-motivation and project management.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply policies, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making consistent with organizational objectives.

  • For those positions requiring travel, a current valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
  • As a condition of employment, vaccinations are required per DRH Policy. Medical and Religious Exemptions are available upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, instruct, and direct patients and visitors.
  • Register new patients and schedule existing patients.
  • Receive all co-payments/payments and issue receipts.
  • Serve as a liaison between patient and medical support staff.
  • Process medical records requests.
  • Float to other clinics as needed.
  • Answer multiline telephone, take messages, provide information, and direct calls.
  • Collect all demographic and insurance information on new patients with accuracy.
  • Update demographic and insurance information when required.
  • Receive copayment/payment from patients.
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as required.
  • Greet patients in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Scan all medical charting information into computer for physician or APP viewing.
  • Copy/print medical records and fax or mail as appropriate.
  • Open, sort, and distribute mail.
  • Prepare daily payment packet for the Central Billing Office (CBO) with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Travel to and fill-in at other clinics.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education opportunities.
  • Implement DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values.
  • Meet and maintain all required conditions of employment, including required vaccinations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
