The Clinic Office Assistant is primarily responsible for registering patients upon arrival and directing them to their first appointment of the day. This position will coordinate registrations between three departments. The applicant will work with all staff to ensure patient satisfaction upon arrival. Responsibilities include collecting copays and payments, processing medical records batches, and answering incoming calls. The Clinic Office Assistant will be responsible for scheduling physician follow-up appointments and coordinating with the infusion scheduler to ensure appointments are in order. This position will perform regular maintenance on provider schedules according to the on-call schedule. The role may involve referring patients to support services across the Oncology Service Line. Cross-training may include training in Scheduling and New Patient Coordination.
