Youth Villages is seeking a part-time Clinic Nurse for its residential programs in Tennessee and Georgia. The programs provide structured, trauma-informed care for youth ages 6 to 17 with complex behavioral and mental health challenges, helping them develop skills for success in less restrictive settings. Residential services are offered in secure facilities, open campuses, and group homes, and may include clinical interventions, life-skills development, recreation therapy at selected locations, and on-campus accredited schooling. Depending on licensure, the nurse works as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide first aid and assess and treat youth who become ill or injured; maintain medical charts; coordinate with medical professionals; and complete daily documentation in an electronic medical record system. RNs also develop and facilitate health education programs, oversee physical, dental, and other medical appointments, and coordinate psychiatrist and pediatrician schedules. LPNs develop and facilitate health education programs and complete documentation as part of their listed duties. This position requires the ability to meet the physical demands of supervising and treating youth, including walking, standing, running, climbing stairs, participating in physical interventions when necessary, and frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds. Applicants must complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and CPR training and pass an agility and strength evaluation. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
