Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice.
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nurse program.
  • Successful completion of background checks including criminal record, driving record, and fingerprint check.
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications to clients through various methods according to service line requirements.
  • Perform thorough nursing assessments, including physical and mental health evaluations.
  • Document medication administration and nursing assessments accurately in adherence with service line standards.
  • Conduct medication administration reviews and collaborate on medication management for housing clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their medication needs and requests.
  • Verify client data and medical history, ensuring all preliminary requirements are obtained.
  • Complete required documentation timely, facilitating effective client care and safety plans.
  • Serve as a resource for nursing and medical issues, managing infectious disease control and hygiene practices.
  • Participate in required meetings and perform related duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
