About The Position

The Clinic Manager provides day-to-day management and clinical and operational oversight of the assigned clinics. Scope of responsibility includes close working relationship with providers as well as direct oversight of the clinical and office staff functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelors (or higher) in Management or Business Administration and/or License Practical Nursing/Registered Nursing Degree, High School Diploma with relevent years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years healthcare experience.
  • Management experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with operational and strategic aspects of physician practices preferred.
  • Current Missouri LPN/RN license, if applicable.
  • Valid Missouri driver’s license required.
  • American Heart Association, Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and implementation of quality improvement plans to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Works with the Quality Assurance Nurse to make sure all quality controls, measures, and competencies are meeting regulations.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of the capital and operational budgets.
  • Reviews each of their assigned cost center budgets monthly to ensure they are staying within budget and re- monthly staffing ratio to meet Premiere benchmarks.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
  • Identifies process improvement within the clinic setting and works collaboratively with the Management team, Quality Assurance Nurse, and Care Coordinator.
  • Coordinates orientation and competency validations for new staff members.
  • Ensure staff is compliant with orientation, training and performance and documents appropriately.
  • Supervises clinic staff and makes recommendations to hire and terminate.
  • Super users for the Scheduling and EMR software and assists in development, build, training, and on going support.
  • Educates staff and patients on the patient portal benefits and assists with signing up patients.
  • Determines the need for and plans staff development, training, and continuing education.
  • Develops and maintains a professional and nurturing atmosphere for patients, families, providers, and staff.
  • Provides oversight of all aspects of office staff and processes to ensure efficient office routines and patient flow process to include working closely with physicians to ensure processes that support the practice setting.
  • Schedules staff, monitors attendance, and approves PDO requests for staff and providers.
  • Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, promotes a team atmosphere, and meets attendance/punctuality requirements.
  • Works with other departments to assure compliance with all regulations and standards concerning medical clinic operations, including Corporate Compliance, OSHA, CMS, HIPAA, JC, etc.
  • Stays up to date on Rural Health Clinic regulations, Meaningful Use, and PQRS.
