Requirements
- Current LVN license issued by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills required.
- Basic computer skills necessary.
Nice To Haves
- 1 – 3 years of oncology experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensures collection of all information necessary for new patient assessment and schedules new patient clinic visits.
- Triages and prioritizes patient needs in clinic, with phone calls, and the patient portal.
- Initiates follow-up with appropriate source(s).
- Provides clinical data to ensure proper authorizations are obtained to assure accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Coordinates patient care for physician and ensures timely appropriate follow-up.
- Assists in the education of patient and family on disease process and addresses their individual needs and concerns.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
