The MA III performs administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records under direct supervision. Clinical duties include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics and medical information, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment, and stocking supplies. This role involves medication administration. The LPN also performs administrative duties like answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Graduated from or Completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship (Required effective 9/1/20).
  • Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP
  • Graduate of an state board accredited practical nursing program
  • Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people
  • Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting
  • Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting
  • IV certification in State of Missouri

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties that might include, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records under the direct supervision of a supervisor or provider.

  • Prepare patients for examination.
  • Clean rooms and equipment and stock supplies.
