Clinic Director, Physical Therapist
About The Position
New Horizons Physical Therapy is an outpatient physical therapy clinic in Jeffersonville, IN that specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine and worker’s compensation. Our philosophy is to provide the most effective and advanced personal care for every patient. We feel that our one-on-one treatment approach is essential to providing the highest quality of care and secures the best outcome for our patients. We strongly believe that continuity-of-care is not only important to the consumer of healthcare, but should be a priority to the healthcare provider as well. As Physical Therapy Clinic Director, your responsibilities will be managing the overall leadership and operation of our outpatient clinic. With the support of experienced administration, you will be providing outstanding one-on-one patient care, as well as supervising both clinical and office staff and ensuring all APTA standards, policies, and procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited college with an APTA curriculum.
- Current state of Indiana license, CPR certification.
- Exercise and manual-based skills

- Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask while providing an exceptional experience for anyone that enters the clinic.
- Previous staff supervisory responsibility, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic clinic setting strongly preferred.
- Outgoing and energetic personality.
- Ability to market the clinic by networking and visiting physician offices.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
- Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
- Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
- Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
- Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
- Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
- Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports
