About The Position

Adolescent Wellness Academy is expanding into North Carolina and is seeking an experienced Clinic Director to lead the launch and ongoing success of its first facility in the state. The role involves overseeing the clinic's performance across clinical excellence, client experience, employee experience, and business health. This position is suited for a strong clinical leader capable of building an exceptional team, fostering a values-driven culture, and achieving meaningful results for adolescents and their families. Backgrounds that translate well include Adolescent Mental Health Leadership, PHP/IOP, Behavioral Health Operations, Clinical Program Development, and Residential Treatment.

Requirements

Independently licensed behavioral health professional in North Carolina, such as an LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent
Master’s degree in a related clinical field
5+ years of behavioral health experience
2+ years of clinical or operational leadership experience
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing performance
Strong knowledge of clinical quality, compliance, and behavioral health operations

Nice To Haves

Adolescent PHP/IOP experience strongly preferred
Program launch or expansion experience preferred
Qualified Supervisor status preferred

Responsibilities

Launch and ongoing performance of AWA’s first North Carolina facility
Clinical quality, client outcomes, team experience, and financial health
Recruitment, development, and performance management of the clinical and operational teams
Admissions, treatment planning, clinical progress, crisis response, and discharge coordination
Documentation quality, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and risk management
Strong partnerships with families, providers, and community referral sources
Continuous improvement of programming, systems, and clinic performance
