About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a clinic care tech to serve in family medicine at our Baxter Clinic in Baxter, Minnesota, and our Brainerd Clinic in Brainerd, Minnesota. This position is ideal for a non-certified or certified nursing assistant, patient care tech, or anyone with experience in a clinic role. This CCT works 8-hour day shifts, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with one weekday off. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports and assists providers and clinical staff with administrative and select patient care tasks
• Supports patient scheduling and work queue needs as assigned
• Follows up on no-shows and works with providers to review and approve add-ons
• Greets patients, supports virtual visits, completes identification verification, height, weight and obtains vitals
• Chaperones exams as needed
• Administers questionnaires and documents in electronic medical record
• May perform limited patient care tasks based on training
• Processes incoming mail, scans, copies, and faxes as needed, prints and updates forms, answers internal phone calls, and may place office supply orders
• Greeting and rooming patients
• Obtaining vital signs
• Documenting in patient chart
• Stocking and cleaning exam room
• Ordering and maintaining clinic supplies
• Assisting with clerical duties
• All other duties as assigned
• Float to support other areas as assigned
