Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Four (4) years' experience in a clinical setting
  • One (1) year in a lead role
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in one of the following languages, Spanish (highly preferred), Vietnamese, or an East African Language is valued.

Nice To Haves

  • BA preferred
  • Experience serving patients from a wide range of backgrounds, including those who speak limited or no English is preferred.
  • Experience working in a medical or dental clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plays a key role in the daily operations of the School-Based Health Center (SBHC), ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients.
  • Supports clinical and non-clinical staff with essential administrative functions.
  • Manages patient registration, check-in, and scheduling.
  • Handles key administrative tasks such as verifying eligibility, managing medical records, and processing referrals.
  • Collaborates with school staff to develop and maintain systems for student referrals, parent consent, and managing student flow for appointments.
  • Assists with data tracking and reporting.
  • Orders and maintains inventory of office and medical supplies, including vaccines.
  • Helps promote awareness of SBHC services to students, families, and the school community.
  • May assist families with insurance eligibility and applications to reduce barriers to care.
