Clinic Assistant
About The Position
This position exists to assist the providers and staff in the clerical and patient care aspects of the pediatric clinic. The Department Overview describes the focus of the endocrine disorders clinic, including diabetes, growth problems, and thyroid disorders. This department also provides an education program for children and their families that includes diabetes management and nutrition counseling, as well as resources and support groups. Children’s Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. An independent and not-for-profit system since 1924, Children’s Minnesota is one system serving kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, nine primary care clinics, multiple specialty clinics and seven rehabilitation sites. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- BLS certification required.
- Computer knowledge.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Post high school training in a health care setting and/or pediatric experience preferred.
- Medical terminology preferred.
