About The Position

Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist to join their passionate team of tree care professionals in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves climbing trees to perform pruning, removal of diseased or dying limbs, and other tree maintenance tasks to ensure the health and safety of trees and surrounding areas. Requirements

Love of the outdoors
Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire

Nice To Haves

Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law

Responsibilities

Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems.
Operate as an active crew member, supporting the ground crew and crew leader.
Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
Remove hazardous trees.
Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
