About The Position

This position involves learning to climb trees and operate as a member of a tree crew. The trainee will progressively learn new skills and perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients. This includes tree identification, pruning guidelines, removing deadwood, installing cables, bracing, lightning protection systems, assisting in hazardous tree removals, and properly maintaining and operating tools and equipment like chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. The role offers opportunities for growth based on individual performance.

Requirements

Love of the outdoors
Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire

Nice To Haves

Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
