The Climate and Global Change Postdoctoral (C&GC) Fellowship program is seeking applications from PhDs in sciences contributing to Climate and Global Change Science. The fellowship aims to attract and train future leaders in this field. Innovative research is needed to understand, predict, plan for, and manage the Earth System and its interactions with a changing climate, as well as community impacts and pathways to low-carbon futures. Fellows will work with a mentoring scientist at a U.S. University, Research Institution, or Federal Agency on innovative climate-related research. The program focuses on advancing the fundamental science and understanding of climate-related issues, including Earth system processes, energy, and decarbonization. Research can span observing, understanding, modeling, and predicting climate variability and change, enhancing Earth system model development, advancing data assimilation, and studying coupled human-Earth systems. Applications can be single-discipline or interdisciplinary.
