As a key contributor to the success of AMD’s products, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
  • PC system architecture experience with depth in one or more domains
  • Team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated technology innovation skills
  • Experience in business/engineering collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Experience in process definition, change management, and governance
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details
  • Must be a leader, and able to independently set direction and drive tasks to completion
  • Excellent executive communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic exploration and ideation for client product portfolio system-level technology innovation
  • Roadmap for system technologies and innovations
  • Champion system innovation ROI to embed system-level innovation into engineering and business culture
  • Drive a continuous innovation process focused on system technologies supporting client product portfolio system solutions
  • Deliver data-driven engineering cost/benefit analysis for system innovations through theoretical and empirical methods (e.g. system level modeling, proof of concept experiments, etc.)
  • Define and deliver system technology requirements for product intercepts
  • Drive innovation in one or more specific system technology area(s) as an individual contributor (e.g. display, camera, sensors, AI) with a focus on closing competitive gaps and enabling new experiences and marketable outcomes
  • Lead and grow a small team of other system technology subject matter experts covering other business-critical system technology domains
