About The Position

Munich Re Specialty Group North America (MRSG N.A.) is seeking a temporary Client Support Technician, Commercial Insurance to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division. This role will be a hybrid position in the Long Beach, CA office, reporting to the Regional Product Manager, Commercial Insurance. The position involves transmitting correspondence, setting up client files, preparing and processing various insurance documents, maintaining follow-up systems, processing surplus lines filings and billings, handling premium finance agreements, furnishing underwriters with information, managing telephone and written correspondence, maintaining client and carrier relationships, following quality procedures, assisting with premium collections, providing backup support to the service team, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Well organized with an aptitude for details
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Understand and analyze insurance coverages, forms and policies
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Above average math skills to work with numbers and percentages
  • Ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

  • Applied EPIC software experience a plus
  • Experience in the trade/transport industry a plus

Responsibilities

  • Transmit correspondence to insured and carriers
  • Set-up prospect and customer files in Epic system
  • Prepare and process binders of insurance, certificates of insurance, endorsements, audits and cancellations as defined in the company procedures manual
  • Maintain follow-up system with insurance carriers to ensure requests are processed timely
  • Process surplus lines filings, affidavits and billings, as required
  • Process premium finance agreements as needed
  • Furnish underwriters with additional information as requested
  • Handle telephone requests and written correspondence
  • Maintain positive relationships with insurance markets and clients
  • Follow quality procedures and promptly correct any items uncovered by quality control (QC) audits
  • Assist in premium collections, when necessary
  • Provide back up support to service team as requested
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with customers and carriers
  • Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by management
