About The Position

The Client Specialist will provide administrative and professional support to insurance clients and HUB associates, with a focus on excellent customer service and teamwork, supporting either our Property & Casualty or Employee Benefits line of business. Requirements

  • Prior working experience in the insurance industry or knowledge of insurance products is highly preferred
  • Proper insurance licensure is required, or needs to be obtained within 90 days of employment
  • Professional designations are preferred
  • College degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Strong understanding and comfort using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Existing knowledge of Applied Epic is preferred
  • Strong customer service, organization and time management skills
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with HUB associates, clients and carriers via phone and email to provide answers to questions or concerns relevant to commercial lines policies and products
  • Deliver policies in a timely manner and in the format in which the Account Manager advises
  • Properly document all communication and activity with HUB associates, clients and carriers to maintain compliance and organization
  • Coordinate policy expirations with HUB associates to obtain and process renewal information
  • Coordinate motor vehicle reports, certificates of insurance, policies, change requests, cancellations and endorsements per HUB processes and standards, ensuring all activity is properly documented in HUB systems
  • Prepare and update renewal proposals and summaries
  • Follow up on cancellations and billing issues by effectively communicating with client and carrier
  • Assist with claim reporting and follow up
  • Pursue and maintain professional insurance designations as recommended by HUB.
  • Provide extraordinary customer service for HUB clients: provide day-to-day client support for your assigned block of clients, including troubleshooting issues and problem solving; Ensure client information for your block of clients is always accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and deliver employee education and communication materials including live and virtual presentations; Facilitate presentations for Open Enrollment and New Hire Orientations as needed.
  • Act as liaison between client and vendor partners to resolve problems and troubleshoot client issues with invoices, claims and delivery of service.
  • Collaborate with HUB Benefit Consultants to understand and address specific questions and insurance plan renewals for HUB clients.
  • Work with our Data Analytics team to understand data trends and address specific questions and needs of our clients.
  • Understand compliance requirements related to benefits, and how these requirements affect HUB clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales-related materials including bids and proposals.
  • Coordinate annual processes across functions that relate to wellness planning, annual health care planning, and plan renewals for clients.
  • Learn the Employee Benefits business by collaborating with colleagues and internal mentors, taking part in education meetings & carrier updates, and attending client outreach/appreciation events.
