About The Position

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is hiring part-time and full-time Client Services Representatives (CSRs) to offer valuable services to the community and provide support to animals. CSRs report to the Client Services/Animal Care supervisory team and work onsite at the Milwaukee Campus. Requirements

  • Ability to navigate emotional aspects of animal welfare work
  • Availability to work evenings, a weekend shift, and a rotating holiday
  • Able to successfully meet the physical demands of the job, which include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions. Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Prior animal care and client service experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Help animals find new homes via our same-day adoption process
  • Welcome new arrivals via owner surrenders, transfers from other organizations, and end-of-life services
  • Support client questions in person, by phone, and via email
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in our animal management software
  • Process register transactions and support customers with products in retail store
  • Commit to a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental approach with all clients, callers, and coworkers
  • Other duties as assigned
