About The Position

Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. is one of the largest human services providers in California that operates a variety of programs to serve the poor and strives to find permanent solutions to crisis situations by offering clients the tools and resources needed to achieve greater self-reliance and stability in their lives. The person in this role coordinates Catholic Charities’ client services, financial and environmental assistance program within a region. May supervise the work of employees and/or volunteers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Three to five years of related experience.
  • State program contract administration.
  • Assistance with policies and procedures.
  • Basic accounting and budget preparation

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, directs, trains, assigns, and evaluates work of assigned personnel and volunteers.
  • Decides how to allocate funds used to provide financial assistance to clients in need of emergency food, shelter, clothing, rental assistance, transportation, medical and special needs.
  • Assists regional Director plan and implement new methods of service delivery consistent with the Agency’s mission statement.
  • Provides direct case management services to clients.
  • Provides information, referrals and advocacy for clients whose needs are not met here.
  • Administers and organizes various programs.
  • Coordinates services and functions between satellite offices.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, FEMA reports, and department memos.
  • Monitors daily expenditures for financial assistance.
  • Reviews and approves department’s financial transactions.
  • Provides consultation to staff and other Agency or community representatives.
  • Helps plan and implement staff development programs to improve the quality and effectiveness of services.
  • Maintains, promotes, and develops office procedures.
  • Displays sensitivity to the client population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Performs related duties as required.
