About The Position

St. Patrick Center provides opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Individuals and families build permanent, positive change in their lives through safe and affordable housing, sound mental and physical health, and employment and financial stability. Working collaboratively with individuals, businesses, government and other service providers, St. Patrick Center will end chronic homelessness in the St. Louis region through Housing First, an evidence-based practice that tells us to remove barriers, do intake and assessment early, move people into housing and offer them support to achieve their goals. Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, St. Patrick Center, is hiring a Client Services Monitor. The monitor will observe and evaluate the daily pedestrian traffic at the Tucker location. They will notify appropriate St. Patrick Center staff of disturbances at the Tucker Street entrance and Welcome Center Reception. Part time PRN Position days needed are Sunday and Monday from 3:00pm - 11:00pm. Maximum of 19 hours per week. Pay starts at $20/hourly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year Client Services Monitor related experience.
  • Requires valid driver's license (MO residents require Class E).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of an associate degree preferred.
  • Law enforcement background strongly preferred.
  • Reliable vehicle is preferred.
  • Valid and current auto insurance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct individuals to appropriate entrances such as volunteers, visitors and persons seeking services.
  • Use appropriate de-escalation techniques to defuse volatile persons on agency property.
  • Assists SPC staff responding to “Red Folder” calls at Welcome Center Entrance, Client Deck, and other exterior agency area locations.
  • Use appropriate judgment to call “911” for emergency assistance.
  • Provide a welcoming presence to persons visiting or seeking services at SPC.
  • Maintain clean and professional appearance.
  • Check-in each morning with the CSO Manager for daily activities scheduled at SPC.
  • Provide intake triage as needed.
  • Complete agency Incident Reports as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
