About The Position

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is seeking a Client Services Manager to provide management and oversight of the Self-Determination Unit. This unit offers consultative and technical support to ACRC case management units, conducts community outreach, and provides training related to services and supports offered through the Self-Determination Program. The role involves supporting case management units in assisting clients and their families to acquire and maintain assessed supports and services, including transportation, vocational training, day programming, education, mental health services, medical care, and independent living training. The position also includes consulting with vendors on certifications and applications, advising on the development and monitoring of Self-Determination Program budgets and spending plans for Individual Program Plans, and guiding case management units on documentation and reporting. The role may also involve assisting colleagues with special projects and providing emergency on-call services.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and three years of experience in a human service (or related) agency, preferably in the field of developmental disabilities OR a Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in a human service (or related) agency, preferably in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, requirements and policy standards.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Strong time-management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management and oversight of the Self-Determination Unit.
  • Educate ACRC Staff, clients, their families, and community members about the Self-Determination Program and Person Centered Planning.
  • Support case management units in helping clients and their families acquire and maintain assessed supports and services.
  • Consult with and assist vendors with certifications, applications, and referrals.
  • Provide consultation regarding the development of SDP budgets and spending plans for Individual Program Plans.
  • Provide consultation for monitoring these plans and revising them as necessary.
  • Guide case management units on completing required forms, documentation, and reports.
  • Assist co-workers with special projects, unique problems, vacation, and sick relief.
  • Provide emergency on-call services when required.
