About The Position

Griswold Home Care for Greater Newport Beach is seeking a dependable, organized, and personable individual to join their growing office team. This role is unique as it combines office administration, caregiver recruiting, client services, and occasional hands-on caregiving. The majority of the hours will be dedicated to supporting office operations, recruiting, scheduling, and client services, with the flexibility to assist with direct client care when necessary. This could involve supporting new client transitions, assisting with unexpected staffing needs, or ensuring continuity of care. The position averages approximately 30 hours per week, with potential for additional hours based on agency needs and growth. The mix of office and field hours may fluctuate weekly. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in home care, senior care, healthcare, or related fields who enjoy working with people and are interested in gaining operational experience within a growing home care agency.

  • Basic computer skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in home care, senior care, healthcare, or a related field preferred
  • Previous home care agency experience is highly desirable
  • Caregiving experience strongly preferred
  • CNA certification preferred, but not required
  • 6 months of experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day office and administrative responsibilities
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in our home care CRM
  • Assist with caregiver scheduling and staffing
  • Communicate professionally with clients, families, and caregivers
  • Assist with new client and caregiver onboarding
  • Help coordinate caregiver introductions and new client starts
  • Participate in occasional client visits and field activities
  • Maintain accurate and organized client and caregiver records
  • Provide general support to the Operations Manager
  • Review and screen caregiver applicants
  • Conduct initial phone screens and caregiver interviews
  • Schedule interviews and follow up with qualified candidates
  • Assist applicants through the hiring and onboarding process
  • Help maintain an active pipeline of qualified caregivers
  • Provide occasional direct caregiving when needed
  • Help support new client starts until a permanent caregiver is identified
  • Provide occasional coverage for unexpected staffing needs
  • Assist with caregiver and client introductions
  • Observe and communicate relevant client needs to the office team
  • Help create continuity between the client, caregiver, and office
