About The Position

This office-based position will support Forgotten Harvest’s food rescue and distribution efforts. The Agency Enablement Specialist will work closely with our Client Services and Food Sourcing departments to assist with the expansion of the Agency Enablement program.

Requirements

• Microsoft office skills (excel, word, power point, outlook)
• Familiarity with small and large non-profit and human service agencies.
• Desire to work closely with the staff and volunteers of a variety of non-profit and human service agencies to accomplish specific objectives.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience in structuring actions to accomplish a goal and comprehend the varied capacities of various participants to meet the goal.
• Excellent personal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn FH specific computer system.
• Desire to expand knowledge of human service non-profit organizations in SE Michigan.
• Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record as determined by FH insurance company, and valid personal auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Assess partner agency readiness for retail food pickup
• Support onboarding of new agencies
• Provide guidance on food safety, storage, and scheduling
• Identify and address participation barriers
• Align agency capacity with retail donation opportunities
• Match agencies to store locations
• Support program rollouts and monitor participation
• Deliver training on program expectations and food safety
• Provide ongoing coaching and develop resources
• Track participation, missed pickups, and recovered pounds
• Identify trends and recommend improvements
• Partner with internal teams and retail stakeholders
• Support grant-related initiatives
• Identify expansion opportunities
• Share best practices and support pilot programs
