Client Service Representative VCA Mountainview
About The Position
We are looking for a motivated, friendly, awesome person to be a part of our Client Service Representative (CSR) Team! This role involves customer service functions, including greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms. The CSR acts as a liaison between the client and the medical team, schedules and confirms appointments, and places outbound calls for follow-ups and to reach out to prospective clients. Additionally, the role involves presenting and explaining fees, processing payments, and recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions. The CSR also screens emergency patients and incoming specialty patients, and manages medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence. There is unlimited growth and promotion potential within the company.
Requirements
- At least one year of proven past experience helping customers
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions
- Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action
- The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- The ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- The ability to be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste
