About The Position

The Client Service Representative (CSR) at Callaway County Small Animal Clinic is responsible for providing an exceptional experience to clients during every interaction. This role involves managing practice reception, handling telephone communications, maintaining veterinary medical records, processing accounts, managing cash, data entry, word processing, and mail services. The CSR applies practical knowledge of practice processes, services, and regulations governing animal patient treatment and record-keeping to ensure excellent patient care and client satisfaction. Some cross-training may be necessary.

Requirements

Ability to work on weekends as required
High school diploma or equivalent
Practices OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE

Previous veterinary experience preferred

Responsibilities

Leads practice opening and closing procedures.
Ensures all public areas are clean and presentable.
Processes cash, checks, charge card payments, and credit account payments.
Schedules appointments for the clinic.
Assists in the updating of client/patient files.
Prepares and sends client correspondence.
Sends reminder notices and conducts re-calls to clients.
Performs a backup of the computer system.
Performs and oversees the posting of daily business.
Welcomes clients and patients to the practice.
Answers incoming telephone calls.
Presents clients with medications, instructions, new client kits, and other take-home items.
Handles emergency situations with care and patience.
Addresses client concerns in a calm and appropriate manner.
