About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Client Service Manager for their Employee Health & Benefits team. This role involves maintaining and expanding client relationships, collaborating with sales teams, carriers, and clients to establish and renew benefit plans. Responsibilities include performing service functions such as employee open enrollment meetings, managing wellness options, and providing day-to-day service to meet client needs. The role is approximately 70% internal and 30% client-facing, requiring frequent client discussions, participation in strategy meetings, and presentations to decision-makers and employees. The position also involves coordinating and participating in the advancement of Wellness drivers for assigned and other clients. Client Service Managers are expected to engage in continuing education to maintain licenses, stay current with regulations, and enhance insurance knowledge.

Requirements

  • Active Life and Health license
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Strong knowledge of plan designs from varied carriers in the marketplace
  • Managing accounts through the calendar year life cycle
  • Assisting clients with federal and state law compliance and interpreting contractual language
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to conduct presentations and speak to diverse groups
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as agency management systems and web browser software
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, carriers, and the client to establish and renew benefit plans.
  • Perform service functions such as employee open enrollment meetings, wellness options, and other day-to-day service.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in the advancement of Wellness drivers for assigned clients as well as other clients as requested.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain licenses, stay current with all regulations and enhance insurance knowledge.
  • Coordinate and complete the marketing process for new and renewal group business, including compiling census data, benefit plans, soliciting quotes, monitoring requests, corresponding with carriers, and preparing renewal proposals and presentations.
  • Prepare employee communications.
  • Organize and conduct enrollment meetings.
  • Manage re-enrollment forms.
  • Review contracts and summary plan descriptions.
  • Meet via conference calls or in person with the carriers and the client to stay on track and cover all aspects of implementation.
