About The Position
BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is seeking an extraordinary Client Service Coordinator. This role is crucial to the hospital's success, serving as the initial point of contact for clients. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring each client receives the necessary care and attention, requiring the ability to remain calm and compassionate in highly emotional and difficult situations. The ideal candidate is an excellent customer service professional, someone peers turn to for advice, guidance, comfort, and support, and is looking for an opportunity to collaborate with leading veterinary medicine professionals in an environment that fosters growth. As the first BluePearl Associate a client sees, this position plays a vital role in shaping the client's experience.

- Ability to function calmly and compassionately in situations that can be very emotional and difficult for clients
- Ability to offer advice, guidance, comfort, and support to peers
Responsibilities
- Greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens to offer individual a warm and professional acknowledgement.
- Always offering a friendly smile, strong eye contact and an approachable demeanor.
- Being a compassionate listener.
- Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.
- Assess immediately upon arrival each client’s rare need, as well as the pet’s general condition.
- Determine whether an emergency arrival is a “stat” versus “standard” emergency.
- Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
- Confirm all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
- Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains by ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
