About The Position

Cerity Partners is seeking a Client Service Associate to join their team. This role involves frequent interaction with custodians, processing paperwork, and supporting client needs. The associate will be responsible for account openings, funding, electronic check deposits, money movements, and task processing with custodians. They will also schedule and prepare for client meetings, take notes, and send summaries. The position requires developing knowledge of investment accounts, products, and transaction forms, as well as assisting with internal coordination. Responsibilities include cash transfers, wires, data maintenance, reporting, trading, CRM maintenance, organizing meetings, handling client calls, and executing client appreciation activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 2+ years of experience as a client service associate in financial services or similar experience leading custodian interactions and paperwork processing
  • Demonstrate strong and effective communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team based/collaborative environment.
  • Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Adherence to all compliance policies & procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific experience working with separately managed accounts is considered a plus
  • Specific experience completing subscription documents for private investments is considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Frequent custodian interaction & paperwork processing.
  • Process account openings, funding, deposit electronic checks, money movements, process tasks with Custodians.
  • Schedule client meetings.
  • Basic preparation and follow-up for client meetings.
  • Prepare client forms and financial reports in advance of client meetings.
  • Attend meetings to take notes and send a summary to both the client and the advisory team.
  • Develop knowledge of investment accounts, products and the forms required to transact business.
  • Assist with internal coordination across departments to ensure tasks/ follow up is completed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for cash transfers, wires, data maintenance, reporting and trading as needed.
  • Ongoing maintenance and quality control of CRM.
  • Organize advisory team meetings and events.
  • Receive client calls and resolve questions/issues as needed.
  • Execute client appreciation and retention activities.
