About The Position

The Client Services Associate is responsible for scheduling appointments, registering patients, and all other duties involving front desk operations. This role processes claims within assigned responsibility in a timely and efficient manner, performing all associated duties to ensure completeness and correctness of all patient documentation, facilitating maximum client/company satisfaction. The associate handles phone, mail, and personal inquiries from and regarding patient/company accounts, maintaining all documentation and records in accordance with federal and state regulations. They collect proper insurance information and forms from patients and perform accurate and timely verification of third party payer and worker’s compensation. Communication and/or updating of correct patient information to appropriate staff(s), department(s), and computer system(s) is also a key function, along with prompt, courteous reception and guidance to patients with inquiries. The role involves resolving or assisting with complaints, misunderstandings, and inquiries related to results, pending medical record forms, turnaround times, wait times, etc., and requires ongoing application and knowledge of all company requirements and/or regulations, including complying with Federal and State law and private payer health care program requirements as well as the hospital’s ethical and business policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Previous experience in an office/administrative environment required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with third party billing in a healthcare facility preferred.
