About The Position

This role will provide first-line service to North American prospects and clients, contributing to revenue growth and client satisfaction. The specialist will troubleshoot account and billing issues, process orders, handle inquiries, and manage complex service requests via phone, email, and chat. They will also provide system training on Mercer’s proprietary platforms and identify and convert leads into sales through needs-based assessments. Seasonal outreach to prior participants and purchasers for compensation and benefits surveys is also a key responsibility. The role involves leveraging internal resources and subject-matter experts to resolve issues that fall outside standard processes.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred or 3+ years of experience in a corporate environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Tech-Savvy – ability to learn and navigate multiple platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, verbal, written, interpersonal, and business communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality client support, including troubleshooting account and billing issues, processing orders, handling participation inquiries, and managing complex service requests across phone, email, and chat.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and SLA adherence.
  • Provide system training and teach clients how to use Mercer’s proprietary platforms.
  • Identify and convert active leads into sales.
  • Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend suitable products and solutions.
  • Conduct seasonal outreach to prior participants and purchasers to secure participation in compensation and benefits surveys.
  • Leverage internal resources and subject-matter experts to provide answers, escalate complex problems, and drive resolution when issues fall outside standard templates or processes.
