About The Position

As part of StepStone’s Portfolio Analytics and Reporting (“SPAR”) team, the Analyst will be responsible for client reporting and data-related activities. The Analyst will work closely with other client service members and all relevant departments to support client needs plus the Department and Firm at large.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related fields
  • Experience in data analysis or performance reporting preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and communication skills

  • Highly motivated self-starter who quickly adapts to a fast-changing environment to learn recent technologies and tools

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and reporting of the investment activity and performance of leading private markets firms
  • Use performance reporting systems and analytics dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI) to compile accurate and timely reports internally and for external deliverables
  • Processing and reconciling quarterly reports, capital account information, and cash flow activity of monitored funds, and providing information used in preparing client reports
  • Managing data requests and reporting deadlines for assigned clients
  • Actively collaborate with various SPAR Client Teams to obtain all necessary information required for completion of deliverables, compiling final information in a manner consistent with SPAR’s global reporting master template standards
  • Assist in execution and oversight of the full lifecycle of periodic reporting processes, ensuring proper data practices and methodologies are applied
  • Taking ownership of daily and weekly duties involving client requests and cash flow data
  • Completing assigned Monthly and Quarterly reports for clients in a timely manner
  • Assist the team with fulfilling accurate Fee/Carry deliverables on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Remain organized while adjusting to competing demands, aiming to beat rather than meet deadlines
  • Develop a deep understanding of reporting tools, industry best practices and proprietary reporting systems
  • Assist the team on specific quarterly, annual, or ad hoc projects and client-related requests
  • Assist in developing and enhancing new and existing data-related content for client deliverables
  • Performs other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate
  • Assists with projects, as needed
