About The Position

The Client Relationship Specialist (CRS) is an integral component of the GreatAmerica Portfolio Services Group (“GPSG”) team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the relationship between GPSG and key external clients. This includes ensuring the continued growth and success of existing client relationships, as well as the effective onboarding of new client relationships originated by sales. This is a hybrid position requiring external customer relationship ability, strong internal communication, and coordination skills. The CRS will work closely with GPSG clients to understand their unique needs and operational issues, owning the follow-up and working with the GPSG internal operational team to ensure a positive client outcome. The CRS is a strong businessperson with the capacity to understand key client needs and the organizational skills to ensure strong delivery.

Requirements

  • Self-directed with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide ownership and single point of contact for key client relationships.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with appropriate counterparts within GPSG client’s business.
  • Keep abreast of new industry developments that will influence internal operations and the company-client relationship.
  • Develop strong lines of communication with all levels at key GPSG clients.
  • Regularly communicate strategic direction and status of all outstanding client requests/projects to Business Unit and Functional Leadership.
  • Create, communicate, and manage the prioritized client request map.
  • Externally, coordinate requests with the client to ensure they are understood.
  • Internally, interface with various departments and functional teams.
  • Work with the GPSG operations team to ensure that projects are developed.
  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Entry-level or 1-2 years of work experience in a client relationship assistance role.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • GreatAmerica internal systems knowledge.
  • Client utilized systems (e.g. front-end platforms, etc.).
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate sound business judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term loyalty with key clients by gaining a deep understanding of their business and encouraging strategically important joint projects.
  • Champion client requests and issues, ensuring efficient and effective solution management of GPSG internal Standard Operating Procedure for each client.
  • Work with the GSPG operations team to ensure all client interactions are well documented.
  • Prepare communication plans to keep clients updated on company developments.
  • Arrange meetings and lead presentations with clients to review relationship status as necessary.
  • Facilitate scheduled calls/meetings with clients to ensure servicing standards and expectations are met.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new client relationships.
  • Create and update a clearly documented onboarding plan.
  • Refine the onboarding process to develop long-term scalable solutions.
  • Work with the GSPG operations team to ensure all onboarding steps are well documented within the SOPs.
  • Facilitate scheduled calls/meetings with clients to ensure onboarding is on schedule and meeting needs.
  • Utilize the internal GPSG client request portal to track and document all client issues and requests.
  • Coordinate with GPSG operations teams to ensure key accounts receive the appropriate level of service.
  • Work with the GPSG operations team to ensure the establishment of policies and standards of service for each department and monitor the operation’s performance.
  • Update internal teams with important client news and provide regular updates during Hudl meetings.
