Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers by meeting face to face and engaging them when and where they need to provide the best possible counsel. Strong client relationships are based on trust, assessing and attending to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending financial solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs. They are also responsible for originating and closing consumer loans, opening accounts, and opening and/or closing the branch. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment. This role has multiple levels, open to candidates with [1 year to 5 years minimum experience in customer service and sales]. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has a minimum of one to two years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training (for CRC 1)
  • Typically has a minimum three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training (for CRC 2)
  • Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training (for CRC 3)
  • Typically has five or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training (for CRC 4)
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
  • Subject to required registration process, including criminal background and credit check.
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies.

  • Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively (for CRC 3 & 4)
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred (for CRC 4)

Responsibilities
