About The Position

Client Relationship Consultants at U.S. Bank build relationships with customers, engaging them through various channels including in-person, by appointment, and virtually. The role focuses on providing financial counsel with a digital-first mindset. Key aspects include assessing and addressing customers' banking needs, processing account information, demonstrating and educating clients on deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions tailored to individual goals. The consultant is expected to proactively foster client relationships, maintain a strong knowledge of consumer and business banking products (including digital services), and ensure an optimal client experience. This involves collaborating with branch team members, opening new accounts, completing service requests, submitting credit applications, and educating clients on self-service digital tools. The position requires leveraging resources and technologies for operational excellence and accuracy. Additionally, this role requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, which includes criminal background and credit checks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • NMLS registration (subject to criminal background and credit check)

Responsibilities

  • Builds and fosters relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up, asking questions and learning about their financial needs, and banking channel preferences.
  • Identifies solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs by effectively engaging and communicating with clients.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services including digital products and services.
  • Provides a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Develops collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients.
  • Opens new consumer and business accounts, completes service requests and submits credit applications.
  • Proactively educates clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs.
  • Leverages available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve our clients with operational excellence and accuracy.
  • Requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
