The BBH Investment Research Group (IRG) is the centralized investment team within BBH’s Multi-Family Office (MFO) business responsible for asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection and monitoring, risk management, and other investment-related decisions for clients. IRG oversees over $56 billion in assets invested in over 25 internal and external investment strategies. The recently launched Client Portfolio Management & Strategy (CPMS) team, part of IRG's dual mission, is responsible for communicating investment thinking to client teams and clients. This Client Portfolio Manager position is a new role reporting to the Head of CPMS. The CPMS team is integrated into the investment team, staying current on investment managers and portfolio strategy. They collaborate with the Investment Research Team (IRG) on investment philosophy, manager selection, and market updates; Relationship Managers to align client portfolios with IRG's thinking and client goals; and the Investment Operations & Analytics Team (IRG) for executing decisions. The Client Portfolio Manager will represent BBH's multi-asset class investment portfolios to clients and prospects, working directly with them to explain BBH's investment strategies and overall portfolio approach. This involves interacting with clients as an IRG investment representative, performing ad hoc investment analyses, and overseeing client asset allocation and portfolio construction with the client's Relationship Manager. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting portfolio proposals and reviews, providing updates on investment manager strategies, contributing to written content, and responding to investment inquiries. The role also involves capturing portfolio insights, conducting research projects, and performing ad hoc analyses, requiring strong synthesis of research findings, investment writing, and presentation skills. Investment collateral may cover macroeconomics, investment themes, portfolio composition, performance, rationale for holdings, and investment decisions. Staying informed about markets and BBH's investment platform managers is crucial. While headquartered in New York City, the CPMS team handles Front Office and client-facing activities across US offices including Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Nashville, and Philadelphia. The role is open to candidates in Boston and Philadelphia, with periodic travel to other offices.
