About The Position

Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS) is a division of Franklin Templeton providing asset management and advisory services to a diverse array of institutional and retail clients. With a global footprint, FTIS is responsible for over $100 billion AUM across equity, fixed income, alternatives, and multi-asset strategies utilizing both fundamental and quantitative processes. The Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) is responsible for supporting all aspects of a growing business. Critical to the role is a deep understanding of investment strategies, portfolio construction techniques, and global market performance. This person will serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of research views and portfolio strategy for current FTIS offerings to the Retail Advisor Channel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-10 years of work experience in asset management
  • Passion for the markets and knowledge of multiple investment vehicles including Mutual Funds, ETFs, and SMAs.
  • Experience as product or distribution specialist with strong understanding of investment concepts and desire to grow a business.
  • Experience presenting to and working with Financial Advisors
  • Ability to communicate investment insights effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience using investment software and analytics (i.e. Bloomberg and Morningstar)

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred
  • CFA a plus
  • Knowledge of the current competitive investment landscape (i.e. strategies, classifications, and channels) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a product specialist supporting FTIS in growing and retaining Multi-Asset Model Portfolios and ETFs by representing investment philosophy, process, and performance.
  • 50% travel to support business development efforts using FTIS investment insights providing topical market/product commentary and supporting FTIS’s view.
  • Engage with and support a large field sales organization and support on-demand inquiries.
  • Participate in the preparation for and execution of client/sales related meetings.
