Based in Chicago with advisors across the U.S., we operate as a registered investment advisor (RIA). The Client Portfolio Analyst supports portfolio construction, investment research, and portfolio management activities across Hightower's investment strategies. Working closely with portfolio managers, research analysts, and investment committees, this role helps implement investment decisions, monitor portfolio performance, and deliver high-quality investment solutions that align with client objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in portfolio management, investment research, or financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, portfolio construction, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in portfolio management systems, Excel, and investment analytics tools.
  • You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Progress toward or completion of CFA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing diversified investment portfolios by implementing investment decisions and monitoring portfolio performance.
  • Support portfolio rebalancing, asset allocation, and risk management activities.
  • Assist in portfolio reviews and recommend adjustments based on market conditions and investment objectives.
  • Perform financial analysis, investment research, and due diligence on investment opportunities.
  • Monitor economic trends, market developments, and portfolio risks to support investment decision-making.
  • Prepare investment reports, portfolio commentary, and presentation materials.
  • Assist portfolio managers and client-facing teams to support investment discussions and client reporting.
  • Collaborate with research, trading, operations, and compliance teams to ensure efficient portfolio management.
