About The Position

The Fund Controller plays a key role in onboarding new clients to Standish’s fund accounting group. In conjunction with the Manager, this position manages the day-to-day operations of the client onboarding process, including preparing client deliverables and communications. The role also supports investor information onboarding, historical data implementation and review, project tracking, collaboration on best practices, and ongoing systems support for the firm.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Accounting, or Economics concentration preferred.
Previous Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting.
Minimum 3–4 years of public accounting experience or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Familiarity with accounting reporting systems such as Allvue and eFront.
Attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work both in a team and individually.
Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
Adept at using web-based data-entry databases.

Responsibilities

Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ fund structures and reporting, including blockers, splitters, and AIVs.
Supervise the gathering and organization of client onboarding information.
Prepare and/or review capital calls, LP communication documents, and other client deliverables.
Assist with onboarding client investor information in software systems.
Assist with historical data implementation and review.
Maintain project status in Standish’s project management system.
Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement best practices.
Manage ongoing systems support for the firm.
