About The Position

We are seeking experienced contract EHS Lead Auditors to conduct management system assessments for clients across the United States. This is an external contractor opportunity requiring extensive domestic travel. Candidates must already be fully qualified and ready to independently conduct assessments. The role involves conducting onsite management system assessments against ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, with ISO 9001 experience being highly desirable. Responsibilities include planning and managing assessments, travel, reporting, and client communication, delivering clear findings and corrective-action guidance, making certification recommendations, managing assigned client relationships, and leading assessment teams when required. The goal is to provide a consistently high-quality experience and complete accurate, timely, and professional assessment reports.

Requirements

  • Current, fully qualified Lead Auditor status
  • Demonstrated qualification and audit experience in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety or Occupational Safety experience
  • Strong knowledge of management system auditing practices
  • Excellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to independently manage a demanding travel and assessment schedule
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and professionalism
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel by air or automobile

Nice To Haves

  • ISO 9001 qualification or experience preferred
  • Spanish, Portuguese, or French language skills are a plus
