About The Position

The Baldwin Group is seeking a Client Home Specialist, which is a title used for a licensed Insurance Agent specializing in home insurance products. This is an outbound and inbound phone sales position with warm leads provided. The company will cover all licensing costs, including study time and a 60-hour online course for the Property & Casualty license (20-44). The role involves selling new accounts, building relationships with prospects, service teams, insurance partners, and centers of influence. The Baldwin Group is the 12th largest insurance broker in the USA and the 10th fastest growing. This is not a remote position, but remote status can be earned with high performance. The office is located at 6413 Congress Avenue Suite 260 Boca Raton, FL 33487. The position offers a base pay of $41,600 plus commission, with an expected first-year total compensation of $60-70K, which grows with experience.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an amazing attitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers information and develops recommendations for prospective clients.
  • Presents proposals in a professional manner by reviewing coverages in detail to ensure understanding, while adhering to firm policies and procedures.
  • Communicates with clients, prospects, insurance company partners, and service team in an articulate and effective manner.
  • Finalizes the sale, coordinates collection of deposits, arranges for binders and certificates, and briefs the service team on the policy sale.
  • Maintains a concern for accuracy, timeliness and completion when interacting with current and prospective clients, the firm and insurance company partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims while demonstrating strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Maintains understanding and knowledge of insurance industry and underwriting criteria for insurance company partners represented by the firm to effectively communicate to all involved.
  • Meets monthly new business goals.
  • Performs other functions as assigned by leadership.
  • Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes.
  • Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
