About The Position

The Client Engagement Specialist plays a key role in promoting client engagement, retention, and success throughout the treatment process. This individual builds strong relationships with clients, provides support during challenging moments, and helps foster a positive treatment experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, case management, recovery support, or a similar client-facing role preferred.
  • Experience as a Recovery Coach, Peer Support Specialist, Behavioral Health Technician, Case Manager, or related role is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and engage clients in treatment.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations and provide crisis intervention when needed.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 programs.
  • If in recovery, a minimum of one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful relationships with clients to increase treatment engagement, motivation, and retention.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to clients who may be at risk of leaving treatment against medical advice (AMA).
  • Serve as a trusted resource and advocate for clients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Collaborate with clinical and support staff to identify and address barriers to treatment participation.
  • Train, support, and guide client support staff in effective engagement strategies, crisis intervention, and safe client supervision.
  • Occasionally facilitate groups to remain connected to client needs and treatment community dynamics.
  • Record all client interactions, reports, observations, and interventions in client charts.
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment for all clients.
