About The Position

A Client Director role at OpenText is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to drive meaningful impact for clients and the business. In this role, you will be responsible for Professional Services sales, revenue generation, and customer success across accounts in Ontario, while collaborating with peers across North America to achieve shared goals around bookings, revenue, margin, and customer advocacy. As Client Director, you will own all aspects of Professional Services within your territory, including driving services sales, supporting license and cloud opportunities, and ensuring successful solution implementation. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, strengthening relationships while positioning the full portfolio of Professional Services to maximize customer value.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IM/IT experience with a degree/diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years working with enterprise IT systems
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, delivering on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding of complex business/technical processes and project management methodologies
  • Experience selling and delivering Professional Services, including opportunity sizing and solution estimation
  • Expertise in large-scale ECM implementations and mapping business needs to solutions (e.g., OpenText)
  • Demonstrated success managing and closing engagements ($1M+ annually preferred)
  • Background in major consulting firms and experience with enterprise clients (Ontario region preferred)
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and professionalism
  • High ownership mindset with a commitment to meeting client needs
  • Willingness to travel up to 3–4 days per week

  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset, as the role may involve supporting French-speaking clients and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by developing client solutions and building a strong pipeline to meet quarterly bookings targets
  • Partner with sales to expand existing accounts through solution delivery, enhancements, and managed services
  • Lead opportunity lifecycle management including forecasting, SOW/proposal creation, approvals, and Salesforce (CEM) updates
  • Negotiate project scope, timelines, and costs with internal teams and external vendors
  • Own revenue forecasting and reporting, providing accurate quarterly updates to senior leadership
  • Manage end-to-end project execution (T&M and fixed fee), including planning, resource forecasting, risk/issues, and delivery tracking
  • Support business development through RFP responses, opportunity tracking, and cross-functional alignment
  • Engage with C-level stakeholders across commercial and public sector clients (government, education, federal)
  • Drive process improvements and lead/mentor teams to enhance delivery and operational efficiency
