About The Position

We are searching for a Client Connection Associate with strong interpersonal skills who will staff our Front Desk and be the initial contact for our clients and visitors. Duties include, but are not limited to: Verify client eligibility documentation for all programs. Interview clients who call, walk-in or make appointments for eligibility. Ensure friendly and client/visitor centered customer services at the front desk including questions about activities on the first floor. Greet new clients and visitors. Sign in all visitors and issue a visitor’s badge. Answer Gay & Lesbian Switchboard line and respond to callers need for referral or crisis intervention. Document all information on referral and crisis calls. Serve as first in line for phone, client and visitor walk-ins. While serving in this capacity, relay messages between callers/visitors/answering service and staff; screen calls/visitors giving information about the Center and services and referrals from the approved list of referrals. Register new clients and update reopen clients in electronic client database Process client check-ins and payments, ensuring accurate and efficient service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • General knowledge of office practices, including computers and office software.
  • Fluent in written and verbal Spanish.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with callers, visitors, and staff.
  • A perspective accepting of a wide variety of people’s problems, attitudes and lifestyles.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling different work activities and shifting attention from one task to another.
