Requirements

  • Strong experience in finance leadership roles (past experience in a multi-client role is required).
  • Deep understanding of consumer business models (DTC, retail, omnichannel, wholesale).
  • Strong FP&A and modeling skills, with experience in budgeting, building multi-year 3-statement modeling, and operational forecasting.
  • Experience with accounting systems (QBO, NetSuite).
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and communicate with confidence.
  • Experience working with executive teams and board-level stakeholders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple client relationships in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thrives in a lean, high-performance, distributed team.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) or automation tools (Zapier, Notion, Airtable).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Client CFO (fractional) for a portfolio of clients and brands.
  • Own all FP&A efforts, including budgeting, cash runway, forecasting, and board reporting.
  • Act as a strategic partner to founders, CEOs, and investors; turning data into business decisions.
  • Manage banking, credit, investor, and board relationships with polish and confidence.
  • Build and maintain dynamic 1/3/5-year financial models.
  • Drive rolling forecasts, margin analysis, scenario planning, and demand planning.
  • Build KPI dashboards and reporting systems for executive teams.
  • Review reconciliation data with our internal accounting team and ensure reporting integrity.
  • Advise clients on fundraising, M&A, debt strategy, and capital allocation.
  • Support and own credit packs and operate as “deal time CFO” when needed.
  • Support board material prep and investor communications when needed.
  • Provide decision frameworks to help clients navigate growth, burn, and tradeoffs.
  • Templatize, automate, and scale recurring work.
  • Use tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Gsheets, and Zapier to deliver faster and smarter.
  • Document SOPs and drive internal improvements to our client delivery engine.
